Reece Topley
England’s Reece Topley is due to attend Day5 of the U12 Minor Counties Cricket Festivals and will be on hand to present the Trophy and medals later in the afternoon.
The fast left arm swing bowler who took a record 6/24 recently v India at Lord’s once played for Suffolk U12s at our festivals and even won the IBS Trophy back in 2005 with Suffolk. Reece’s recent feat at Lord’s was a record for an English bowler at Lord’s and also for a left arm international bowler in ODIs.
Reece attended the Royal Hospital School as a pupil, where his father Don, was also a former pupil.
Earlier in the week, four former professional bowlers were together on the School fields as Ray East, Don Topley, Chris Silverwood and Graham Napier descended on RHS. The four former professional cricketers had an aggregate 3,542 First Team wickets between them. What a staggering amount of wickets!
